What Happens Next
Our first big project went up without a hitch. In fact, it went up on a glorious Sunday afternoon, to the hum of laugher and positive feed back. Sadly only a few short hours afterwards, each ball was stolen and presumably destroyed. We are so bummed that many people never go to see them. Lots of our friends and relatives went searching on Monday morning, only to be confused and disappointed that they were gone.
Why does some Yarnbombing last for years and others disappear in a matter of hours? Where do they end up and who is taking it down?
We called the council, the police station and the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre. Everyone we spoke too was delighted and intrigued, yet upset that they too had missed out on the artwork.
The next afternoon we found this message.
